High-End Visualization in Paris’ Residential Building in Boulevard de Sébastopol
Under construction
ERGØN & WØLF, in collaboration with the visionary Agnès & Agnès Architecture, proudly unveils the historical facade, preserved in its authentic glory as it whispers the tales of Parisian grandeur
Once upon a time, on the Boulevard de Sébastopol, a fire started. The outcome: A beautiful building suffered great damage and was left covered in smoke and ash. Agnès & Agnès Architecture decided to bring this building back to life and it was such a great honor to be a part of this project. Our work stands as a testament to the delicate balance between heritage and innovation. We’ve woven a high-end visualization that captures the essence of the Parisian spirit.
As dusk settles over the Boulevard de Sébastopol, the rehabilitated residential façade comes alive with an intimate glow, inviting a closer look at its preserved elegance. Through the bare winter branches, warm lights spill from the windows, hinting at the life thriving within. The ivy and hedges, now a crown atop the building, stand as a testament to the thoughtful blend of nature with the urban, a tranquil haven amidst Paris’s vibrant heart.
By day, the building stands as a beacon of harmonious design at the intersection of tradition and modernity. The untouched exterior, with its original stonework, holds stories of the past, while the rooftop and the façade greenery promise sustainability. This is where the Boulevard de Sébastopol’s spirit of vibrant residential life and the adjacent, pulsating energy of Paris coalesce, brought to life through high-end visualization.
As sunlight filters through the verdant cascade of the Boulevard de Sébastopol courtyard, one discovers a sanctuary where greenery envelops modernity. The courtyard, a secret garden nestled within the city, reflects a transformation from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Here, the fusion of wood and lush foliage creates an urban oasis.
The clever interplay of light and shadow, orchestrated by the placement of foliage, crafts a serene retreat, inviting residents to a moment of pause in the embrace of nature.
The vision for the Boulevard de Sébastopol project was to weave the tranquility of this Parisian district into a modern residential setting. Agnès & Agnès Architecture aimed to reflect the area’s family-oriented peace while embracing the proximity to the lively Paris center. Also, striking a balance that honors both the serene local charm and the vibrant urban energy.
The primary challenge involved respecting the original character of the building and the aesthetic harmony of the neighborhood. Introducing new design elements without disrupting the existing architectural language required thoughtful consideration and a nuanced approach.
In execution, the project melded traditional elements with modern touches. The facade was maintained. Indoors, the blend of the wood and the greenery façade created a unique atmosphere where historical texture meets contemporary design. That way, it is exemplifying a harmonious blend of past and present.
