Architectural Visualization in Paris – Rehabilitation of Residential Building in Quai De Valmy
Unbuilt
One quick look and you can feel the building’s personality and respecting its unique feeling was always ERGØN & WØLF‘s focal point.
Collaborating with Agnès & Agnès Architecture, it was an honor seeing how they preserved the building’s authentic charm while infusing contemporary elements. Our work reflects a deep understanding of the tranquil yet vibrant spirit of the area. We merged traditional aesthetics with fresh, industrial designs. The result is a living space that epitomizes the unique character of Paris. A space where every detail contributes to a serene yet dynamic urban life.
Nestled along the serene Quai de Valmy, this image captures the essence of Parisian residential grace. The rehabilitated façade of the building reflects a meticulous blend of the district’s tranquil spirit and the energetic pulse of central Paris. Take a closer look! See how the rehabilitated part with its unaltered stonework whispers tales of the past. Breathing new life into such an architectural gem and finding the perfect way to render it, was nothing more but our pleasure.
Now lift your eyes to the top! A modern touch is to be added as an extension to the original building. A walk from past to future. The image highlights contemporary touches like the yellow grilles. See how they are unevenly placed to offer a playful break from symmetry. The attention to detail in the visual rendering pays homage to the urban and aquatic harmony of the Canal Saint-Martin. We embodied a perfect setting for both reflective solitude and convivial gatherings.
Inside the courtyard, architectural visualization in Paris reaches new heights. The past meets the present in a dance of textures and elements. This work encapsulates the symbiotic relationship between the homely brown brick walls and the stark elegance of the black-painted metal columns. Amidst this, the verdant splash of plant life creates an oasis. A green heartbeat within the city’s bustle. The visual narrative told through this image speaks of a harmonious juxtaposition, where industrial strength is softened by nature’s touch, crafting a space of calmness for residents to enjoy a family life untouched by the city’s frenetic pace.
The vision for the Quai de Valmy residential building was to celebrate its storied past while ushering in a wave of modernity. It’s nestled in a district known for its quiet charm and proximity to Parisian vibrancy. Agnès & Agnès Architecture‘s aim was to preserve the soul of the area by bringing the building back to life and finding a way to take it one step further in the future. Our focus was to ensure that the renovated space would resonate with the essence of its tranquil surroundings and meet the sophisticated needs, while for the extension of this building, we paid great attention to highlighting the modernity the architects created.
The challenge lay in respecting the building’s established personality and the neighborhood’s architectural language, all while introducing elements that signified a step into contemporary living. Agnès & Agnès Architecture found this balance of old and new. Our task was to bring up the best traits of the structure without disrupting the aesthetic peace that Quai de Valmy is known for. Catering to the discerning tastes of architects and residents alike was our main challenge, but one that left us sure about our work and discipline.
Execution involved a delicate way of presenting the refurbished elements like the warm brown brick walls with modern accents such as black metal columns. Making them stand out visually to create a unique feeling for everyone that will lay their eyes upon them. The courtyard serves as a verdant haven within the urban landscape where the green of nature pops up. Our main focus was to create 3D imagery that catches both the attention and the soul.
